I have just received word from Star Command that the Evil Emperor Zurg has attempted to invade the Gamma Quadrant! We have been recruited as Junior Space Rangers to save the star system's supply of crystollic fusion fuel cells. Quickly Rangers, board you XP-37 space cruiser to help Buzz Lightyear save the universe. To infinity and beyond! 

Our XP-37 space cruiser is equipped with twin ion impulse turbo-charger laser canons and a joystick to control the rotation of the craft. In order for us to save the universe, we must aim for the Z targets! The harder the target, the better your score is, and the more likely we are to save the universe!

We have 19 days for training so get ready! We are the only ones that are able to stop the Evil Emperor Zurg.

Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin has been basically the same ride since 1972 in that the track layout and ride system has been recycled through every re-imagination of the the attraction. This location has certainly had an interesting history. If You had Wings operated from June 5, 1972 - June 1, 1987. Eastern Airlines dropped their sponsorship and with removal off all those references, If You Could Fly opened June 6, 1987 and closed January 4, 1989. Delta picked up sponsorship and Delta's Dreamflight opened June 23, 1989 and operated to January 1 1996. Again the location lost its sponsor. Disney's take Flight! opened June 5, 1996 and operated until January 5, 1998. With the closure of this version Walt Disney Imagineering decided to take the ride in a new direction, but wanted to do it with minimal impact on the superstructure of the building and ride systems. Ten months after closing Take Flight! Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin opened to rave reviews. It was Disney's first attempt at a fully interactive ride experience, later perfected with Toy Story Mania. In 2003 a small financial update occurred allowing guests to purchase on-ride photos of their space adventure.
